Siheung (시흥, 始興) is a city to the southwest of Seoul. It is a satellite city because it is close to Seoul and Incheon. Because of the Sihwa National Industrial Complex, it forms an important pillar of Gyeonggi Province's industry on its own, and is also an attractive city with nature, such as the Siheung Gaetgol Ecology Park and sea route.

The existing 5-km walking path from the entrance of Naewonsa Temple to the summit has been renovated and redesigned to include acupressure paths, exercise facilities, a reading forest, a green pine forest playground, a strength-building forest using log ropes, and a play forest.

Opened in July 2019, the Siheung Oido Museum is located on the Oido Historic Site (a nationally designated cultural property). Oido is home to the largest shell mound on the west coast and is recognized for its preservation value as a prehistoric coastal cultural heritage site, with numerous Neolithic artifacts unearthed. The museum aims to showcase not only the Oido Historic Site but also Siheung's diverse cultural heritage through exhibitions and hands-on experiences. It also aims to serve as a relaxing space for city residents, offering beautiful sunsets and ocean views.To reach the museum by public transport, take bus 21, 25, 30-2, or 99-3 and get off at Oido Museum bus stop (오이도박물관). The museum is approximately a two-minute walk from the stop. The museum has a paid parking lot. According to its published parking notice, the fee is ₩500 for the first 30 minutes, ₩200 for each additional 10 minutes, and ₩5,000 for a full day. Confirm the current rates before visiting.

A walking and bicycle path has been constructed around the pond, encouraging citizens to visit. Lotus flowers begin blooming in mid-July, peaking in mid- to late-August, and remain in full bloom until mid- to late-September.

Sosan Seowon is a place in Sincheon-dong, Siheung-si, dedicated to Ha Yeon, a renowned minister during the reign of King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty. At the entrance stands a stone monument inscribed with "Sosan Seowon" in Chinese characters.
관곡지
Gwangokji Pond, located in Hajung-dong, is a pond dating back to the reign of King Sejo of the Joseon Dynasty. It is privately managed by the family of Kwon Man-hyeong (an inspector of the Office of the Inspector General), the son-in-law of Kang Hui-maeng. The pond measures 23 meters wide and 18.5 meters long. It is said that Kang Hui-maeng (1424-1483), a civil servant and agricultural scholar of the early Joseon Dynasty, brought lotus seeds from the Ming Dynasty and planted them here. As they spread widely, the area came to be called "Yeonseong," meaning "Village of Lotus."
