The other name for Mulwang Lake, the largest lake in Siheung City, is Heungbu Reservoir. At the time of its construction in 1945, the administrative districts were Siheung-gun and Bucheon-gun, so the name was taken from Heung of Siheung and Bu of Bucheon-gun.
