Organized by members of the Taber Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (GWVA) in honour of the 25 men who did not return from World War I. A local veteran posed for a picture, the photographs were then sent to Italy, where master sculptors completed what is said to be one of the most perfect replica of a Canadian soldier.
