Taunggyi is the capital of Shan State in Eastern Myanmar.
Clean hotel, centrally located a very short walk from the central market.
By plane
Taunggyi does not have its own airport. The nearest airport is at Heho (HEH), with frequent domestic flights from Yangon, Mandalay and Nyaung U (Bagan).
Taunggyi is a relatively small town and there is a conspicuous lack of taxis and rental bike services. The easiest way to get around is to walk.
