Szklarska Poręba (ger. Schreiberhau) is a ski resort in Lower Silesian Voivodeship and a gateway to Karkonosze National Park in Giant Mountains. It is year-round destination both for hiking, skiing and simple leisure.

Szklarska Poręba Górna is closest to city centre and reachable by PKP Intercity from Wrocław and Koleje Dolnośląskie from Wrocław and Liberec
If you are healthy this may be the most practical way of getting around the town especially if you are in the upper, central part of the town.
