Pomorie (Bulgarian: Поморие) is a town and seaside resort on the southern Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, known for its deposits of "healing mud" and ancient salt works. With a population of over 14 thousand, it's tied with nearby Nesebar for being the "third largest" town on the Bulgarian coast, after the much larger Varna and Burgas.

A unique (for Bulgaria) underground tomb or cult site. It's dated to the 2nd to 4th centuries and consists of a large round chamber with a diameter of 11.60 m and a height of 5.5 m, covered by an earthen mound. The main chamber is reached via a 22-m-long tunnel, flanked by two side chambers near the entrance. In the centre of the main chamber, a hollow pillar leads upwards. It's often called a tomb, like the many Thracian funeral barrows in the country, but its brick construction is characteristic for the Roman era and an alternative interpretation considers the site a heroön - a sanctuary dedicated to a legendary hero. You can also climb up the tumulus to get a great view of the whole area. If you come from the north, e.g. from Varna, Sunny Beach or Pomorie, the access to the tomb is after the second turnoff to Pomorie, shortly after the "Europe" campsite (left) on the right-hand side; there are also signs. Since the parking is on a very confusing curve, be sure to pay attention to the traffic when driving off.
The museum is the only one of its kind on the Balkan Peninsula. On an area of 2.5 hectares you can observe how salt is produced by the evaporation of seawater in the still working saltworks. The small museum building offers information material, video presentations and historical photographic material.
Мъжки манастир Свети великомъченик Георги Победоносец
An active Eastern Orthodox male monastery. It's open to the public, but you should try to act more like a pilgrim than a tourist.
