The Maddalena archipelago (Italian: arcipelago di La Maddalena or arcipelago della Maddalena) is a group of islands in the Straits of Bonifacio between Corsica (France) and north-eastern Sardinia (Italy) next to the shores of the famous Costa Smeralda.

The church dates from the 18th century. Its current neo-classical façade was rebuilt in 1993 after alterations made in 1952.
Naval Archaeological Museum "Nino Lamboglia"
A collections of artefacts from the wreck of a Roman cargo ship found near the island of Spargi.
The most important landmark in the main island of the archipelago, referred to as "Colonna Garibaldi" from the locals. Made out of local granite of excellent quality, it's dedicated to Giuseppe Garibaldi. It's the very first thing that can be seen as soon as you get off the ferry.

At the eastern side of the Cala di Villamarina (small inlet at the southern shore of the island) there is an abandoned granite quarry with a bust of an Italian fascist activist Costanzo Ciano left unfinished there in 1943.
Private boat tours dedicated to the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. While Caprera is best seen by land, the protected islands of Spargi and Budelli (famous for the Pink Beach) are only accessible by sea. This operator uses smaller boats to access shallow pools that larger ferries cannot reach.

Frequent ferries by Delcomar and Maddalena Lines (in season up to every half an hour) connect the town of La Maddalena with the port of Palau in Sardinia. The ride lasts about 15 minutes.
