Dezhou is a city of 5.7 million people (2019) in the northwest of Shandong, along the border with Hebei. Dezhou City is a transportation hub at the intersection of the Beijing-Shanghai and Dezhou-Shijiazhuang railways, and an economic, industrial and trade center in China's Hebei-Shandong border area.
