Catanduanes is an island province of the Philippines, located in the Bicol Region, off the eastern coast of the Bicol Peninsula.
By plane
The island's only airport is in the capital at Virac.
By ferry
There are regular ferries that connect Virac to the port of Tabaco, from where one can take an overnight bus to Manila and to other destinations in Luzon.
The primary mode of transportation in and around Catanduanes is by tricycle, which are motorcycles with an enclosed sidecar for passengers and are prevalent throughout the Philippines.
