60 minute airboat tour through the Everglades ecosystem. Usually you'll see at least a couple of alligators, and if not, the alligator demonstration after the tour guarantees it. This is the county's main airboat vendor, but Sawgrass Recreation Park nearby is an alternative of similar quality. The National Park south of Miami is a little more "wild," but this tour gives a good sense of the ecosystem while being much closer and logistically easier.
A collection of bars, restaurants and retail stores connected to a Marriott hotel.
A historic house and gardens that was home to an artist couple. Very photogenic.
Fort Lauderdale's main performance venue, which also operates the Parker Playhouse in north Fort Lauderdale.
An upscale collection of stores, restaurants and bars near downtown.
The museum is small, but has a few significant works of art, and the temporary exhibitions can be very interesting.
Nice science museum with fish, otters, and an Imax theater. Not a must-see for tourists, but a great way to entertain children.
