Home of Frank Stranahan, who operated the first ferry across the New River and a trading post with the Seminoles, and his wife Ivy (née Cromartie), who was Fort Lauderdale's first schoolteacher. One of the oldest standing buildings. At minimum, walk by, but the tour is informative.
The museum is small, but has a few significant works of art, and the temporary exhibitions can be very interesting.
Small museum and arts space within the first hotel along Henry Flagler's new railway. The first schoolhouse and the Cromartie-King house are next door, with tours available.
Nice science museum with fish, otters, and an Imax theater. Not a must-see for tourists, but a great way to entertain children.
Fort Lauderdale's main performance venue, which also operates the Parker Playhouse in north Fort Lauderdale.
