Chipiona is a beach resort in Cádiz province in Andalusia, marketed as part of the "Costa de la Luz". With a population of 20,000 in 2025, it has domestic tourism but few international visitors.

This 15th century bastion now houses the Tourist Office.
Parish church first built in 1578; the last major restoration was in 1914. The name arises from the Annunciation mass on 18 Dec, when Mary is close to giving birth to Jesus, which starts O Sapientia.
Grand neogothic church built in 1906. Its predecessor on site was a fortress, converted into a church in 1399.
Rocío Jurado (1943-2006) was a singer and actress, one of the highest-grossing artistes in the Spanish language, yet little known beyond. She was born nearby at El Barrio 20 (not Larga 115 as maps mistakenly show) and her mausoleum is 100 m north in San José cemetery off Calle Río Miño. The centre displays her life and work, but many visitors find it shabby and run-down.

Jerez de la Frontera (XRY) has the nearest airport. It's also the nearest railway station, with trains between Seville and Cádiz. You could also fly into Seville (SVQ) or Gibraltar (GIB).
