Silleuksa Temple, located at the foot of Bongmisan Mountain, is a representative Buddhist temple in Yeoju. It is noted for its long history, grand scale, and scenic beauty. The temple is a branch of Yongjusa, the head temple of the Jogye Order’s 2nd district, and has been designated as a traditional temple of Gyeonggi Province. Unlike most temples that are typically built deep in the mountains, Silleuksa is uniquely situated along the Namhan River, offering a rare riverside view.
