정읍사문화공원
A cultural park dedicated to Jeongeupsa, a famous Baekje Gayo. The park features a statue of the heroine of Jeongeupsa, a shrine, a monument commemorating the poem, walking trails and cultural facilities.
내장산국립공원
정읍 구절초 꽃축제
An annual autumn festival held at Gujeolcho Local Garden, featuring fields of white gujeolcho flowers among pine trees. The festival includes live performances, busking, hands-on activities, local food and specialty products.
정읍사문화제
An annual cultural festival celebrating Jeongeupsa, an ancient Korean song from the Baekje period. Held at Jeongeupsa Park, the festival features cultural performances, ceremonies and programs highlighting Jeongeup's local history and heritage.
솔나무떡방앗간
A traditional rice cake shop where visitors can buy locally made tteok, including sommeori-tteok.
It is easy to get ripped off by taxi drivers who charge 10,000-15,000 per person, which is ~3-4 times the normal fee. So try to avoid these taxis and avoiding visiting at peak times for traffic, especially weekends.
