천안향교
A hyanggyo (local Confucian school) founded in the early Joseon period. Educational facility. Municipal (city)/provincial monument. Designated as a Chungcheongnam-do monument in 1997, during the Joseon Dynasty it received land, books, and slaves from the state so that one instructor could teach 30 students, but after the Gabo Reform and the implementation of the new educational system, its educational function ceased; now, it holds memorial rites in spring and autumn and offers incense on the first and fifteenth days of the lunar month.
