Tumling is a tiny Gurung mountain hamlet in Nepal's Ilam District, immediately beside the border with West Bengal, India. At about 2,900 m above sea level on the Singalila Ridge, it is best known as an overnight stop on the Sandakphu–Phalut Trek and for its broad views of the Kangchenjunga massif.

From India
The usual gateway is Manebhanjan, a border settlement reachable by road from Darjeeling, Mirik, Sukhiapokhri, New Jalpaiguri railway station and Bagdogra Airport.
From Nepal
Approaching from within Nepal is possible but considerably less straightforward. Foreign visitors should enter Nepal legally through Kakarbhitta before continuing toward Ilam District.
Tumling is small enough to explore entirely on foot. The lodges, viewpoint, mani wall and main trekking route are within a few minutes of one another.
