Overview

The High Atlas is a region in Morocco covering the mountain range and surrounding destinations such as Marrakech. It's a regular destination for mountain hikers, ski enthusiasts, or travellers interested in the indigenous Berber culture found throughout its many peaks and valleys.

Agafay Desert

The Agafay Desert is a rocky desert landscape located about 30 kilometers south of Marrakech, Morocco. Often called the "Marrakech Desert," it offers a harsh, beautiful landscape of stone dunes and white hills with the snow-capped High Atlas mountains in the background.

Imlil

Imlil is a village in the High Atlas Mountains in Marrakesh-Safi, Morocco.

Jebel Toubkal

Toubkal National Park is a national park in the High Atlas region of Morocco. It's best known for Jbel Toubkal, the continent's highest mountain outside East Central Africa.

Marigha (Berber:Imarighen) is a village in the mountainous High Atlas region around Marrakech in Morocco.

Oukaimeden

Oukaimeden is a ski resort in the High Atlas. It is one of the few places in Morocco where skiing is possible, and it also boasts the highest ski lift in Africa (reaching 3300 m or 10,825 feet).
