Presents the history of sugar cane production on Martinique and its associate use of slave labor.

This Open Air Slave Museum gives a most interesting insight in life on Martinique as it would have been in colonial times. The 2-hectare site just outside town holds vegetable plots and a partly recreated traditional village.
