Hiketa Castle, along with Marugame Castle, were built to help provide protection to Takamatsu Castle from the west (Marugame Castle) and east (Hiketa Castle). The castle was abandoned after the One Castle Policy was put into effect. Little is left of the castle aside from some stone walls but in addition to being a historic site, the hike to the ruins offers great views of the harbor and the Seto Inland Sea.

讃州井筒屋敷
A historic building that now offers opportunities to make local specialties. You can mold and make wasanbon (和三盆), a traditional sugar sweet of eastern Kagawa and Tokushima. They also have glove decorating and leather keychain-making. Reservations must be made to participate in the activities. If you don't wish to or are unable to make the items, most can also be purchased at the second floor shop. There is also a restaurant. The building itself dates to the Edo Period when it was used to make soy sauce and sake.
