Bonarcado

Dating back to the 6th–7th century, the sanctuary is considered one of the oldest sites of Marian devotion in Sardinia; it was built over the remains of a pre-existing Nuragic settlement, a Roman village, and a late-imperial Roman bath complex from the 5th century.

Dating back to the 12th century, the foundation was established around 1110, while the church was consecrated between 1146 and 1147. It was expanded in the 1700s with the addition of a second nave and several chapels. Since 2011, it has held the status of a minor basilica.

Dating back to a period between the 7th and 10th centuries AD and built with a "donkey-back" (arched) profile featuring three spans, this bridge was constructed using small basalt blocks bound with lime mortar, while the arches were fashioned from squared blocks of red trachyte.

18th & 19 September. Solemn masses are held, along with the traditional procession of the statue of the Madonna through the streets of the town. Furthermore, at the midnight of 18th September, a 30-kilometer-long pilgrimage to the Sanctuary begins from Cuglieri; upon their arrival, the pilgrims are welcomed into the church. Civil celebrations follow.
