金湖; jin hu
A large urban lake in central Gejiu, surrounded by parks and public spaces. The lakeside area includes Jinhu Cultural Square and walking paths, and is a popular place for evening walks.

宝华寺
A historic temple complex founded in 1670 during the Qing dynasty. The complex includes the Jade Emperor Pavilion, Sanqing Hall, Lingguan Pavilion, Guanyin Pavilion and several other traditional buildings. It is a protected cultural heritage site and has long been used for religious activities and local recreation.
云庙, 云省会馆
A Qing-dynasty historic building complex also known as the Yunnan Guild Hall. It was used as a meeting place for merchants and is closely connected with Gejiu's commercial and tin-mining history. The complex is a provincial-level protected cultural heritage site.
个旧市博物馆
A local museum documenting Gejiu's history, mining industry and tin culture. Its exhibits include bronze artifacts and displays about the city's long history of tin mining.
丫沙底瀑布温泉
A mountain hot spring complex built around natural streams and waterfalls, with more than 20 outdoor pools. The spring water emerges at a high temperature and the site is surrounded by forested slopes.
东北饺子王
A local Chinese restaurant specializing in dumplings and other northern Chinese dishes.
老牌王记驴肉米线馆
A local noodle restaurant known for rice noodles served with donkey meat.
国国冒菜个旧店
A local restaurant serving malatang, a Sichuan-style dish of vegetables, meat and other ingredients cooked in a spicy broth.
谷屿茶咖
A modern café and teahouse on Jinhu West Road serving coffee, tea and light meals. It has indoor and outdoor seating with views toward Jin Lake, and is suitable for a relaxed coffee or evening drink.
米阁Bar
A modern late-night bar on Jinhu East Road serving alcoholic drinks in a contemporary setting. It is suitable for evening drinks and stays open until late at night.
个旧红河大酒店
A long-established hotel in central Gejiu with restaurants, a café, bar, free parking, laundry facilities and meeting rooms. It was renovated in 2024 and is within walking distance of Jinhu Park and the central commercial area.
如家酒店·neo（个旧人民路店）
A modern chain hotel opened in 2022 in central Gejiu. It offers free Wi-Fi, parking, luggage storage and laundry facilities, and is within walking distance of Jinhu Park, shopping areas and several central attractions.
There are buses around the city for ¥1 with old school wooden seats. Mostly same/similar route going through center - Lake Jin.
