Fuqing (福清; Hók-chiăng in Mindong, Fúqīng in Mandarin) is an industrial city within the administrative area of Fuzhou. It has a population of around half a million.

Liem Sioe Liong (1917-2012) was born in a village in Fuqing. He migrated to Indonesia in the 1930s and later became a highly respected business person and philanthropist in that country’s Chinese community. This memorial hosts exhibitions on not only Liem Sioe Liong but also other prominent overseas Chinese entrepreneurs who originally hailed from Fuqing.
