the Cambodian capital

Kampong Cham is the seventh largest city in Cambodia, but a relatively small city. It has yet to be heavily visited like Phnom Penh or Siem Reap.

Kampong Thom is the capital of Kampong Thom Province in Cambodia. It's about halfway between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and thus most travellers only rush through on their way between these two major attractions.
Doun Kaev, seat of Takeav (or Takeo Province), is a small city of about 40,000 in the Mekong Lowlands and Central Plains south of Phnom Penh.
