Sveta Sofia, "Holy Wisdom"
Ruins of a three-nave basilica, originally built in the 5th century CE, rebuilt in the 9th century, sacked by crusaders in the 13th century, and abandoned in the 18th century. Also known as "the Old Metropolitan [Church]".
Semi-ruined and restored church dating to the 13th or 14th century, built in a Byzantine "cross in square" style. The most colourful of Nesebar's ruined churches, now it houses a small art gallery. Since 1964, protected as a cultural heritage monument of national importance. ("Pantocrator" means "almighty" or "all-powerful", and refers to a specific way of depicting Jesus.)
Another partially preserved church, with an wooden roof over the walls. Built in the 13th or 14th centuries. It's unclear to which of the many saints named Paraskevi it was dedicated.

By boat
You can also get a tourist boat from Sunny Beach to Old Nesebar. It is more expensive and less frequent that the buses.
Roads in and around the Old Nesebar are quite narrow and cobbled. It is probably wise to park just outside of the old town and go on foot.
