The number one highlight of Nakhchivan. An ancient citadel in the mountains with impressive views, and a simple museum at the foot of the mountain To access the citadel you need to climb the stairs up from the road which takes around 30-45 minutes, but it is all worth it once you get to the top. At the top there is complete silence and most of the time you will have the place all to yourself. Access to citadel may be closed in winter, but museum should always be open.
