Talbingo is a small town in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales, Australia.

The town's nemesis and raison d'etre: it flooded the original and spawned the current incarnation.
The rather grandly named Talbingo Country Club is a modest structure that houses Talbingo's only bar, only restaurant plus a 6-room motel. The 9-hole golf course is always open, just pop some cash in the honesty box if no-one's around.
The only restaurant in Talbingo serves country town Chinese-Australian classics like sizzling Mongolian beef and prawn toast. (Despite the name, chillies are in short supply.) Also has a limited Western menu of deep-fried staples like chips and schnitzels.
Talbingo is around 3 km off the Snowy Mountains Highway (B72), about 30 min south of Tumut and 1 hr north of Adaminaby.
