Nimmitabel (rarely Nimoitebool) is a small timey town in the Snowy Mountains region of southeastern New South Wales. Its importance has dwindled since the closure of the Bombala Railway, but remains a roadside stopover town.

Nimmitabel is on the Monaro and Snowy Mountains Hwy (B23 and B72, duplex route), 36 km southeast of Cooma, 51 km north of Bombala and 72 km west of Bega.
