The main attraction of the park, home to several walking trails around it, a lookout, a cave, and the Natural Bridge.
The visitors centre is an interesting building with a display about eel farming and a pleasant cafe but the tours are the main draw. The price of a tour is high but they are excellent, loaded with information about the life of an eel (a somewhat difficult one), indigenous aquaculture and the relationship of the indigenous people with the white settlers from the 1800s through until today.
You will need to book a campsite online with Parks Victoria, there is a modest fee. There are well maintained toilets and showers. Parks Victoria claim that the showers are hot but they have a complicated timing system on the gas water heating which just about guarantees a cold shower. The campsites are set amongst trees and are spaced a reasonable distance apart.
Getting into Budj Bim National Park can only be done via car from a drive from Port Fairy. From Port Fairy, head up C184 and then at MacArthur, turn onto Mt. Eccles Rd and continue from there until the park.
