Wiedensahl is a village in the Weser Uplands in Germany, with fewer than 1000 inhabitants (2023). The community became known nationwide through the painter Wilhelm Busch, who was born here in 1832. He spent many years of his work in the village.

Wilhelm Busch Birthplace
In addition to individual visits, group tours and museum education are also offered.
It dates from 1275. An existing chapel was expanded into a church. In 1516, the church was significantly rebuilt and enlarged. A triumphal arch separates the choir with its cross-ribbed vault from the nave with its barrel vault.
Museum in the old rectory
On the upper floor of the building, around 1,400 exhibits from 140 million years of local history are on display in six rooms. Among other things, you can see dinosaur tracks, fossils and ancient clay vessels, as well as household appliances and tools from past centuries. The rooms can also be reached via a handicapped-accessible stair lift.
Measuring rule museum
Günter Uhlig has collected more than 28,000 folding rulers from all over the world in his folding ruler museum. They are arranged by theme and alphabetically and fill seven rooms. The museum at Abstkamp 12 can be visited by appointment. Admission is free, as are the collectors' stories. However, visitors must call to make an appointment.
