The Southern Wisconsin River Valley is a region of five counties in extreme Southwest Wisconsin along the Wisconsin River. Comprised mostly of rural communities, the area is part of the greater Driftless Area and is noted for its natural beauty and small town charm. The region includes the entirety of Lafayette, Iowa, Grant, Richland and Crawford Counties.

A beautiful, 2628-acre state park at the confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers.
The Valley is one of the more remote areas of Wisconsin, but it does have some major entry ways. Much of the area is immediately accessible from US 151 (from Madison or Dubuque) or US 18 (from Madison or Northeast Iowa).

Dodgeville is a city in the Southern Wisconsin River Valley of Wisconsin. It is the county seat of Iowa County.
Prairie du Chien is a city in the Southern Wisconsin River Valley of Southwest Wisconsin, near the junction of the Mississippi and Wisconsin rivers.
Richland Center is a town of about 5,000 residents (2020) in the Southern Wisconsin River Valley in Southwest Wisconsin.
Soldiers Grove is a town in the state of Wisconsin.
Spring Green is a village of 1,600 people (2019) in Southwest Wisconsin and is the home of two unique architectural wonders: Frank Lloyd Wright's magnificent Taliesin, and Alex Jordan's mysterious House on the Rock. The area is also popular with visitors because of a local Shakespearean theatre, the nearby Wisconsin River with its many recreational opportunities, and a 27-hole Robert Trent Jones-designed golf course.
