Sesimbra is a fishing town and municipality on Portugal's Setúbal Peninsula. It has several popular beaches due to its location on Setúbal Bay at the mouth of the River Sado.

Sesimbra Castle, Castelo dos Mouros, Castle of the Moors
This medieval castle, built c. 1200, lies on a cliffside with excellent views. It is a national monument.
With its coastal location, Sesimbra is blessed with numerous beaches.
