Pennsylvania Dutch Country is a region in Pennsylvania also referred to as South Central Pennsylvania. The region is home to many major tourist attractions such as Lancaster county's Amish country, Harrisburg's state capitol and museums and Hershey's chocolate world and theme park.
The Harrisburg area is in Pennsylvania Dutch Country and is generally considered to consist of the Harrisburg metropolitan statistical area which includes Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry county. It is home to the state capitol building and complex in the city of Harrisburg and the popular theme park and tourist attractions in Hershey.
Lancaster County is in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. It is noted for its high Amish population, countryside, Pennsylvania Dutch food and crafts and historic Lancaster city and other towns.
There are several regional airports in south central Pennsylvania but the largest and most used is Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) located in Middletown, just minutes from Harrisburg and PA Route 283.S.
