Metro New York or Greater New York, also called the Tri-State Area (though it's not the only area so-called in the U.S.), is the massive metropolitan area around New York City in the states of New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It is the biggest and wealthiest metro area in the United States.
