Meizhou (梅州; Méizhōu in Mandarin, Mòi-chû in Hakka, Muizau in Cantonese) is a city of about a million in Guangdong. Meizhou is honored with the titles of Hometown of Culture, and Hometown of the Overseas Hakka Chinese.

兴宁学宫 Xīngníng Xuégōng
This historic Confucian temple was first built in the Song dynasty and moved to its present site in 1484. The complex preserves traditional buildings including the Dacheng Hall, Chongjing Pavilion, side halls, a pool and the Lingxing Gate.
