Climb up to Mount Lovćen, it is a kind of Montenegrin Mount Olympus. On the top of the mountain lies the magnificent mausoleum where the poet Petar II Petrović Njegoš is buried. The view is stunning, they say that on a clear day you can see Italy across the Adriatic sea. There is construction underway for a cable car from Kotor to Lovćen.
For hikers it might pose an option to get in before or after opening to enjoy the sunrise or sunset for free.
A nice 13-km day hike going from 0 to 1,700 m elevation, by the Fort of St. John, a nice and inexpensive restaurant half way, and the mausoleum as the climax.
A inexpensive and local restaurant with a decent choice of food. Free WiFi.
If after a long day of hiking or during winter you prefer a nice sauna, head to this place, which includes sauna and breakfast in the price.
Choose an airport to see hotels, stations, taxi ranks and car rental desks around it.
