Lore Lindu National Park

One of the most remarkable and least-visited archaeological landscapes in Indonesia, the Bada Valley lies in the southern part of the park and is home to dozens of mysterious stone statues scattered across rice fields and forest edges.
The valley contains part of a wider concentration of over 400 megaliths found across Lore Lindu, some dating from as early as 3000 BC to around 1300 AD. These include large anthropomorphic statues, stone vats (kalamba), and carved blocks whose purpose remains unknown.
The most famous statue is Palindo, a striking human-like figure over 4 m tall with exaggerated features. Other named statues include Maturu, Langke Bulawa, and Oba, each with distinct forms and local legends
