Lombard is a suburb of Chicago in Illinois and is considered part of Chicagoland. Lombard is a small town with a tight-knit community built around its high schools and the downtown Lombard culture. Residents of Lombard are very friendly and familial and willing to guide tourists to various locations in Chicago and Chicagoland.

It is a large botanical park which specializes in tulips and lilacs. There is a large amount of shade with benches, picnic areas and some open grass areas.
American-style Chinese food. Dine in or take out.
Old-school small-town bakery, open only in the mornings. Expect the doughnuts and cinnamon rolls to sell out each day. Consider the round loaves of cinnamon–raisin bread if you're looking for something a little larger. Cookies and other desserts offered as well. Takeout only.

By car
From Chicago: Get on I-290 West and continue when it merges onto I-88. Exit at Highland Ave. (at Yorktown Mall)./IL-Rt. 38. Lombard begins shortly after the I-294 junction.
