Hardap is a region in southern Namibia.
A restaurant in the middle of small farming plots, somehow economically related to the Kalahari Farmhouse. They distillate their own gin and sell hand-made snacks and crafts. Service is slow, don't come in a hurry. Last restaurant order at 19:00; you're visiting a farming community here that goes to bed when the sun sets. Food is tasty and value-for-money, waiters are friendly, enjoy!
Has a bar and a casino.
Chalets and a camp site, A lot of shade and grass in the yard of the farmhouse, WiFi, swimming pool, bar, restaurant, curio shop, small library. Very well maintained, very friendly staff. Unfortunately there is not much to see or do for a traveller in Stampriet, one would want to stay here for a while. Camp site has 8 camping spots on grass under old palm trees, each with water and electricity, shared ablution facilities. Potentially too small and too close to one another, but they are normally not all occupied at the same time.
By train
There is a train service between Windhoek and Keetmanshoop a few times a week.
By public transport
Between towns you can catch a minibus, and Rehoboth and Mariental are on the route of the big coaches that travel to Windhoek, Cape Town and Johannesburg.
There is no public transport to tourist destinations, you have to get around by car or private airplane. You can book private tours (a 4x4 and a driver) to destinations in the Namib-Naukluft National Park in Maltahöhe.

It is quite common for travellers to buy gems or finished jewellery during a trip. Often price and selection are better in places where stones are mined, cut or set than elsewhere.
