Gambaga is the historic capital of East Mamprusi Municipal in the North East Region of Ghana located in the Ghanaian Northern Plains. Perched on the Gambaga Escarpment above the White Volta valley, it offers dramatic views, cooler breezes, and deep Mamprusi history. It was once the capital of the entire Northern Territories during British rule and is home to one of Ghana's oldest mosques and the famous Gambaga Witch Camp.
