Dzungarian (also spelled Zungharia and Jungaria) is in Xinjiang in China. It is the area north of Tian Mountain running through the middle of Xinjiang Province. It consists of Altay Prefecture, Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Tacheng Prefecture, Karamay Prefecture, Shihezi City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Wujiaqu City, Urumqi Prefecture, Turpan Prefecture, Hami Prefecture and Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture

Aletai (阿勒泰; Ālètài; also known as Altay and Altai City) is a city in Xinjiang Province of China. Go 100 km or so in any direction except south and you hit a border: Mongolia to the east, Russia to the north, Kazakhstan to the west.
Burqin (布尔津; Bù'ěrjīn) is a city in the northern part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, near the Russian border. Hemu Village and Kanas Scenic area are located in Burqin, and it begins to snow during September-October every year, is a good place for skiing.
Hami (哈密 Hāmì) or Kumul, now Yizhou District, is a town on the Northern branch of the Silk Road in Xinjiang Province in China.
Karamay (克拉玛依; Kèlāmǎyī) is a city in Xinjiang Province in China. It is famous as an oil base for drilling in the surrounding desert.

Shihezi (石河子; Shíhézǐ) is a city in Xinjiang Province in China. Built in the Junggar desert from 1954, it has more trees per acre than any other city in China.
Turpan (Chinese: 吐魯番, Tǔlǔfān; Uyghur: تۇرپان, Turpan) is a city in Xinjiang, on the Silk Road.
Yining (Chinese: 伊宁 Yíníng; Uyghur: غۇلجا Ghulja; Kazakh: قۇلجا Qulja) is a city in the Xinjiang Province in China. Though the official Chinese name is Yining, the city is almost never referred to by that name even by the Chinese who live there.
Kanas National Nature Reserve is in Xinjiang Province of China. Kanas is also called Hanas which is the name used by local Kazakhs.
Sayram Lake is in Bortala prefecture, north-west of Xinjiang, China.
Tianshan Tianchi National Park (天山天池国家公园) is in Xinjiang, in North West China. It's listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
