Chuuk (previously known as Truk) is one of the four states of the Federated States of Micronesia. It is best known for wreck diving with few other reasons to visit.
The main population center, situated on an atoll ringed with reefs and containing a number of populated islands.

More modern option, next to the airport, popular with travellers to Chuuk for work. Has a restaurant also.
Old budget-friendly hotel for those that want ability to cook. Hiring a car with the hotel is convenient and affordable. Mostly occupied by travellers from Pohnpei, including government officials.
High quality, but comparatively expensive, diving liveaboard. 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday. 5 dives daily off the mother ship.

United Airlines flies to Chuuk from Guam and from Pohnpei. Generally one needs to pass through the USA to get to Chuuk and this one needs to go through US customs.
