Bad Schussenried is a city in Baden Württemberg, Germany. It is member of "Cittaslow", an organisation that aims to improve the quality of life in towns by slowing down its overall pace, especially in a city's use of spaces and the flow of life and traffic through them. The town is on the "Upper Swabian Baroque Route", the "Swabian Bath Road" and the "Way of Saint James". The Humboldt Institute has a branch here. Its population was 9300 in 2023.

Kloster Schussenried
Year-round: Exhibitions in Schussenried Abbey. The preserved buildings of Schussenried Monastery a former Premonstratensian imperial monastery founded in 1183, are worth seeing. In 1748, construction of the entire monastery complex began, but barely half of it was completed. The building project followed the example of Wiblingen Abbey. Both monasteries are characterized by their outstanding library rooms in the north wing of the monastery complex. A chapter house in the east was demolished in the early 19th century. The St. Magnus Church, which was converted into a baroque style shortly before the new monastery was built, has been preserved from the Middle Ages. It is a three-aisled basilica with baroque furnishings.
Beer mug museum
Beer mugs from the Ott collection in all sizes from five centuries are on display there. Guided tours take you to the Schussenried Ott brewery, where the third largest rock crystal in the world is also on display.
Upper Swabian Museum Village Kürnbach :
In the district of Kürnbach is the Upper Swabian Museum Village, founded in 1969, where Upper Swabian farmhouses were moved that could no longer be preserved in their original location. In the meantime, a real village with 31 buildings and furnishings from six centuries has been built around the thatched roof house from 1664, the only one at the original location. The Swabian Railway Association operates the 1.1-km-long "Kürnbach Steam Railway".
