The Aguacate Mountains Biological Corridor (Corredor Biológico Montes del Aguacate, MABC) is an important conservation area in the central part of the Aguacate Mountains in central Costa Rica. Administered by SINAC (the National System for Conservation Areas in Costa Rica), it plays a crucial role in biodiversity conservation, connecting various protected areas and facilitating the movement of flora and fauna across a landscape that has been impacted by human development. The corridor encompasses diverse ecosystems, from rainforests and cloud forests to farm lands and towns, highlighting the importance of integrated conservation efforts.
