It was renamed from Rio Tinto Stadium in 2022. America First Field is home to Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer. Two different teams in the National Women's Soccer League, both bearing the Utah Royals name and owned by Real, have played here. The first version played from 2018 until being shut down after the 2020 season, and the revival started play in the 2024 season. The stadium has hosted Paul McCartney, KISS and Neil Diamond. The stadium has hosted other events, including, in 2012, the USA Rugby Championships.
