If you go and visit the small town of Quinter in Western Kansas, you do have to see Castle Rock. It takes about 20 minutes to get there from town. You have to take country roads which may get bumpy sometimes, so do not take a nice car on this trip. To get better directions where to go ask at the Convenience Xpress or Pizza Station they sure will be happy to help you!.

Castle Rock is a 70-ft-tall chalk pillar landmark in Gove County, Kansas, United States. The formation and the nearby badlands are located in the Smoky Hills region of Kansas, which is about 11 mi (18 km) south of I-70 near Quinter, Kansas.
