Scenic flights over Lake Powell with American Aviation are a great way to get an idea of the vast area Lake Powell covers. Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam, and the Sleeping Indian are included. Air tours from Page over Monument Valley include all of the above plus all the monument of Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. Duration: about 90 minutes.
A slot canyon with a more open top, so pictures come out better than in the upper Antelope Canyon. Entrance is only through a guided tour (see Ken's Tours, below).
Tribal law requires all visitors to be guided into the canyon, so booking a reservation with Ken's Tours is the only way to see Lower Antelope Canyon. The regular tour is $20 plus an $8 Navajo Parks Fee to be paid at the entrance.
There is also a 2-hour "Photographer Tour" that costs $42 (plus the $8 parks fee). You are required to bring a DSLR/SLR/Mirrorless with a tripod for this tour.
