St. Olaf College is on a hill on the west side of Northfield. The college was founded in 1874 by Norwegian immigrants and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Museum - a curious collection of objects from nature, science, technology and the arts. Museum Store sells local fossils, collector's supplies, science posters, antiques and gently used non-fiction science/nature books.
