Glendive is a town of about 5,000 people in eastern Montana, on the Yellowstone River. It is a part of the Lewis and Clark Trail and the Montana Dinosaur Trail, and the smallest market in the U.S. to have its own television station.

Paleontological day trips. Take home the fossils, petrified wood, and rocks you excavate. Be prepared for serious physical activity - rough badlands, several miles from shelter and paved roads. Weather can be extreme.
A more than 70-acre area offers fishing, hiking, camping and wildlife viewing. Boat ramp to Yellowstone River.
