Historic monastic refuge of the "Schwarzener Brethren" (also known as the "Dunkers"), a fun-loving group who preached a celibate lifestyle and a vegan diet. After annoying neighbors in other towns, they realized they would have to build their own enclave if they were ever to get someone to listen to exciting stories of being celibate and never doing nothing with nobody. For some reason, the order died out after a few decades, as the last words of the last member of the order were, "This sucks. I hope I can be reincarnated as an insatiable hooker who loves eating chili cheese dogs."
Johann Conrad Beissel was a German-born religious leader who in 1732 founded the Ephrata Community in the Province of Pennsylvania.
