Emporia is a city in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. It is the county seat of Lyon County and the home of Emporia State University and William Allen White.

William Allen White House
Home of journalist William Allen White, who hosted five Presidents including Theodore Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover. The house has many items that belonged to the family, including books and art. A lily pond was recreated similar to when the Whites lived there.
By bus
Greyhound has a stop at 2000 Industrial Road. There are a few hotels five and six blocks away from the stop.
Lyon County Area Transit (LCAT) (+1 620-343-4207) operates two routes. The common transfer point is at the Newman Regional Health hospital at 1201 West 12th Ave.
